AFLAKING

Overview

Past immunoaffinity columns required diluting the organic solvent extract to around 2%.  As a result, turbidity is generated in spices, making them difficult to analyze.  AFLAKING does not require large dilutions, making common foods from nuts to spices easy to  clean up in a short amount of time.

Features

  • High organic solvent tolerance - rapidly clean up with only a small volume of sample solution

        • AFLAKING has a high tolerance against acetonitrile and methanol which are widely used for Aflatoxin extraction.  The concentration of acetonytrile is to 20% and that of methanol is to 40% for maintaining higher than 80% recovery ratio of Aflatoxin. This characteristic feature allows clean up of Aflatoxin with less dilution of the food extract.
        • Pretreatment time is greatly reduced and analysis efficiency is increased.
        • Spices are easily and accurately analyzed.

    • Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1 and G2 are simultaneously cleaned up.

The antibody used for AFLAKING has an equal reactivity for all B1, B2, G1 and G2.

This feature allows simultaneous clean up of 4 kinds of Aflatoxin.

  • Aflatoxin M1 can be also cleaned up.
Aflatoxin M1 can also be purified because the antibody used for AFLAKING reacts equally to Aflatoxin M.

●Aflatoxin analysis
Aflatoxin is a kind of mycotoxin that have high toxicity is often detected from many kinds of foods and feedstuff.  Although many compounds related to Aflatoxin have been discovered, those controversial in food hygiene are Aflatoxin B1, B2, G1, G2 and M1.  Especially, it is estimated that Aflatoxin B1 has the highest carcinogenic in natural products.
