Our North American Automotive Test Systems group is searching for an experienced test engineering professional to support in-house testing project by establishing and managing test plans, technical design and application of projects.  If you have experience managing automotive testing projects from beginning to end and motivating a team to accomplish project deliverables on time, within budget and that delight customers, please keep reading and visit our corporate website to learn more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops overall test plan and determines equipment and materials needed to prepare, design or build the test application or method based on customer specifications.
  • Where required, designs special test rig components and/or develops test system configuration drawings. Ensures safety is addressed in all aspects of the test application.
  • Assists with the design, manufacturing, installation, calibration, commissioning, start-up and sign-off and training on test applications.
  • Provides technical leadership/assistance to the laboratory technicians in response to customer requirements/requests; approves equipment specifications and manages test documentation in accordance to the Laboratory Management System.
  • Provides strong customer service while ensuring all assigned test applications are conducted in accordance to both customer’s specifications and the Laboratory Management System.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent knowledge/experience, and general knowledge of project engineering and laboratory testing required.
  • Ability to design/develop test applications or methods in conformance to customer requirements.
  • Ability to develop a project plan to ensure all required test equipment, materials and resources meet the customer’s target completion date and test requirements.
  • Advanced problem-solving and analytical thinking; coupled with excellent communication and customer service skills.
