Our North American Automotive Test Systems group is searching for an experienced Automotive Project Manager to provide project delivery and customer support leadership. Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing large scale turn-key projects of significant complexity including overall project management, customer management, building construction, system layout and integration. Typical projects will involve a new building or major addition and complex test cell or multiple test cells.
  • Monitors key milestones and budget throughout the duration of the project.
  • Assesses project risks to performance; pro-actively works to address and escalate issues requiring management attention.
  • Ensures effective and timely communication of project status to key stakeholders.
  • Coordination of internal HORIBA departments, architect, contractors and vendors, and project acceptance.
  • Generates Project Closing reports. Conducts closing meeting to review project in its entirety and discuss best practices moving forward.
  • Assists Sales /Application team to generate PM budgets /costing/schedules for customer RFQs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Incumbent typically has a minimum of five years automotive industry related experience and previous experience managing large turn-key automotive engineering projects.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification a plus.
