Our North American Automotive Test Systems group is searching for an experienced Automotive Project Manager to provide project delivery and customer support leadership. If you have experience managing large projects from beginning to end and motivating a team to accomplish project deliverables on time, within budget and that delight customers, please keep reading to learn more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing large scale turn-key projects of significant complexity including overall project management, customer management, building construction, system layout and integration. Typical projects will involve a new building or major addition and complex test cell or multiple test cells.
  • Monitors key milestones and budget throughout the duration of the project.
  • Assesses project risks to performance; pro-actively works to address and escalate issues requiring management attention.
  • Ensures effective and timely communication of project status to key stakeholders.
  • Coordination of internal HORIBA departments, architect, contractors and vendors, and project acceptance.
  • Generates Project Closing reports. Conducts closing meeting to review project in its entirety and discuss best practices moving forward.
  • Assists Sales /Application team to generate PM budgets /costing/schedules for customer RFQs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Incumbent typically has a minimum of five years automotive industry related experience and previous experience managing large turn-key automotive engineering projects.
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • PMP Certification a plus.
