Harold Henry, Regional Sales Manager out of the Atlanta office, staffs the HORIBA P&E booth at EUEC 2009.

HORIBA Instrument’s Process & Environmental group recently attended the 12th Annual Energy & Environment Conference and Expo on Clean Air, Mercury, Global Warming, and Renewable Energy. The EUEC has grown over the years and this year the conference was moved to the Phoenix Convention Center to accommodate more than 250 exhibitors and 1500 attendees. The EUEC 2009 conference emphasized the state of flux surrounding the expected re-issue of the Clean Air Interstate Rule (CAIR) by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Additional technical sessions and focus was placed on environmental policy related to President Barack Obama’s proposed initiatives on renewable energy.

HORIBA participated in both the exposition and the technical program. All Regional Sales Managers were present at the exhibit and took the opportunity to introduce Mr. Harold Henry our new Regional Sales Manager to the visitors to our booth. In the technical session on monitoring, we presented a paper titled “Simultaneous O2 and NOX In Situ Monitor: One Year Follow Up Study.” This presentation covered the progress made in the field testing of the INM-700 analyzer over the past year. We showed results from measurements on two Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) units at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Kingston Fossil Plant. We also presented the post test analysis on the zirconium oxide sensors that indicated no significant sensor contamination or failure.
