This is the Version 3 Revision of HORIBA Group Green Procurement Policy, which has started since November 20, 2003.

This revision includes the major revision especially on the chemical substances. In the version 1 and the version 2, we regarded the prohibited substance as those with the voluntary controlled substance. In the version 3, we shifted more to the content based on Defact Standard such as JGPSSI with international standardization.

In Green Procurement Survey (Survey on chemical substance included in the delivery products) too, the investigation substances are based on the substances regulated by JGPSSI.

In implementing the version 3, we took your advices into consideration and reflected them on the revision as much as possible, typically in integrating the analysis method and the tolerance standard into this document. We hope the document will be helpful to you, and look forward to your further assistance.

(Points of Version 3 revision)
1. Handling of Green Procurement of Product Facilities has been added.
2. Definition about inclusion, intentional addition and so on has been defined.
3. Prohibited substance list has been based on "List-A of JGPSSI."
4. Maximum Tolerance of restricted substance including RoHS directive target substance, exclusive use, and so on has been defined.
5. Inclusion unit of Prohibited Substance (Definition of Homogeneous Material) has been defined.(Temporary application only)
6. Investigation target substance on Green Procurement survey has been revised to that it is based on List-A and List B of JGPSSI.
