The Story of Conductivity

In daily life, people would seldom ask, "What is conductivity?" or hear or read about conductivity. There are numerous publications for professionals that cover the theory and studies on the difficult subject of conductivity written for the layman.

In the course of developing compact conductivity meters, we at HORIBA also put together some fundamental knowledge and information on conductivity for the purpose of giving actual people an understanding of the subject.

Chapter 2 lays out the fundamentals, and Chapter 2 is a collection of stories about water, something with which we are all familiar. It is our hope that, on this occasion, you can gain a little further knowledge about the electrical aspects of chemistry and perhaps think of using a compact conductivity meter for purposes that hadn't occurred to us.
