Territory Manager

HORIBA Medical equips more than 30,000 laboratories throughout the world and produces nearly 7,500 analyzers per year and over 10,000 tons of reagents. We also benefit from all the technologies patented by the HORIBA Group and from synergies between the Group’s 13 research centers worldwide.

Our Territory Managers serve as the initial point of contact with "end user" prospects who are interested in one or more of the Company's products and convert that interest into sales orders. These team members work with the Company's representatives, distributor partners and customers regarding products and their uses, and provide information and demonstrations of our medical analyzers.

To be successful, a HORIBA Territory Manager:

  • Travels up to 75%, providing instrument information and performing in-person demonstrations with existing and new customers and/or distribution partners. Successfully demonstrates the use and features of HORIBA Medical analyzers and responds to questions in a timely manner.
  • Responds to prospect inquiries for product information, answering product capability questions directly, or coordinating contact between the prospect and internal personnel, as required.
  • Coordinates communication between the prospect and the appropriate manufacturers’ representative or distributor for purposes of providing demonstrations, further information, customer references, etc.
  • Develops and maintains a database of all prospects for the Company's products to facilitate follow up.
  • Completes and submits timely reports as defined by the Director of Sales and Corporate Accounts or their Area Sales Manager.
  • Maintains and manages all company assets that are issued, to include demonstration equipment, company vehicle, and lap top computer.
  • Manages the process of regular distribution of qualified leads and other information to members of the Company's distribution network. Also, is responsible for the timely follow-up on all leads supplied by the company and advises manager of the action taken on such leads via a monthly report.
  • Performs follow up and qualification of inquiries generated by direct mail, advertising, and other promotional activities.
  • Implements promotional plans for the Company's products as provided by Marketing/Sales management.
  • Is able to provide expert operational and technical demonstrations for all company products.
  • Meets or exceeds sales performance targets as defined by the Director of Sales and Corporate Accounts.
  • Complies with all requests for reports requested by their Sales Management Team.
  • Performs duties in accordance with any and all established company policies and procedures and government regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, direct sales experience with clinical laboratory equipment. Experience includes distribution, indirect sales channels, knowledge of scientific and/or laboratory instrumentation and its application in the clinical laboratory.
