Sales Engineer for South America based in SP Brazil

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent the company to the customer and the customer to the company in all sales-oriented activities,
  • Sell company products with a minimum of supervision by making daily phone sales and visiting potential customers,
  • Support sales and technical activities of indirect sales network of the company,
  • Maintain customer lead database,
  • As experience increases, becomes fully knowledgeable of assigned company products/services,
  • Applies knowledge of products, pricing plans, competition marketing objectives, sales objectives and sales skills to sell company products/services,
  • Give technical presentations and seminars at customer sites,
  • Other duties may be assigned,
  • Provide competitive analysis, tender replies,
  • Set up & follow up of sales forecasts,
  • Continuous customers follow up to maintain customers’ satisfaction,
  • Work in closed collaboration with customer to ensure proper configuration of the quoted/ordered equipment.

Qualifications include:

  • Master Sciences Degree with major in Physics, Materials Sciences or Molecular Chemistry
  • 50% travel required in South America incl. regular overseas trainings in US & Europe
  • Excellent communication skills & must be detail-oriented
  • Committed and consistent with ethical behaviour in the working environment
  • Strong teamwork, coordination and people skills

Professional Experience includes:

  • Direct sales and prospecting experience as well as working with company representatives
  • Knowledge of scientific instrumentation for optical spectroscopy
  • Knowledge in Raman, Fluorescence Spectroscopy is a plus
  • Experience of academic market in Brazil required
  • Preferably 3 to 5 years experience in a sales position

Languages:

  • Portuguese mandatory
  • Fluent in English & Spanish
