HORIBA Jobin Yvon, Inc. which specializes in scientific instruments has an opening in its Edison, New Jersey location for an Applications/Technical Sales Support Engineer. 

• Pre-sales and post sales technical support of spectroscopic ellipsometer products
• Assisting sales and service in their interactions with prospects and users
• Quotation review
• Running customer samples and writing analysis reports
• Performing demonstrations and customer training in the field
• Installing and troubleshooting spectroscopic ellipsometer systems
• Writing applications notes and technical articles
• Giving scientific and sales presentations at events and meetings
• Attending trade shows to provide technical support
• Discovering and developing new applications for our instruments

• M.S. Degree or PHD in electrical engineering, physics, materials sciences/engineering, or other related scientific field
• Knowledge of spectroscopic ellipsometry and/or polarimetry
• Sales experience with scientific instruments a plus
• Must be willing and able to travel up to 40% of the time, including occasional multi-week trips and international trips
• Must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Excellent inter-personal skills
• Positive proactive thinker with great attention to detail
