Particle Size Determination of Different Concentrated AI2O3 and SiO2 Nanopowder Suspensions with the Ultrasonic Spectrometer DT-1200

This paper was presented at the World Congress of Particle Technology held in Nuremberg April 25-28, 2010. The data presented in this paper shows the results of a six location interlaboratory study investigating the accuracy and reproducibility of the DT-1200 acoustic spectrometer for measuring the particle size of nanometer range dispersed suspensions at high concentrations. The precision values of repeatability standard deviation and reproducibility standard deviation as defined in DIN ISO 5725-2 were calculated for the four samples used in the study.

Other State of the Art HORIBA Technologies: Ellipsometry

HORIBA offers a wide range of analytical technologies beyond particle characterization. Many of our customers are also interested in some of these other techniques. In this newsletter we invite interested scientists to investigate our line of ellipsometers. Ellipsometry is an optical non destructive technique allowing the accurate characterization of thin films, surfaces and interfaces. Spectroscopic Ellipsometry is mainly used to determine thin film thickness (from 1Å to 30µm) and optical constants (n,k).
