VS7000

Overview

VS-7000-CCD is  a low cost mini-spectrometer featuring a high QE back-illuminated CCD. This VS-7000 system has a dynamic range of 5600:1. The CCD has a peak QE of 90%, a height of 300mic, but has no anti-blooming feature. For higher dynamic range (7000:1) and anti-blooming, please see our VS7000+ with 300 mic CCD height standard and 1mm as optional CCD height.

Typical applications low light applications such as fluorescence and other emission spectroscopy.

Thermoelectric stabilization

None. Dark current (and CCD pattern noise) must be subtracted. User needs to turn off the light
source or install a manual shutter in the light path.
As with all CCD and PDA detectors, the QE slightly shifts with temperature.

This mini Spectrometer features a Back-thinned CCD with high QE (peak at 90%) and high full well; it is ideal for industrial low light applications such as fluorescence, emission, absorbance, and reflectance.

It outperforms current generation minispectrometers based on front illuminated Sony or Toshiba CCDs, or other low-cost back-illuminated CCDs.
