Point of Care blood analysis with secure audited remote bidirectional access

CPA accreditation requirements state that all point of care (POC) analysers are password protected to ensure only trained personnel have access and full audit trails are obtainable for patient safety purposes. In addition, the availability of secure remote bidirectional access to POC analysers is a key requirement to enable managers to easily and effectively monitor their use. Here we discuss how Pentra SAfe is enabling Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to comply with these CPA requirements on its eight ABX Pentra 60C+ POC haematology analysers.
