HORIBA Medical introduces online case study video series
11 October 2010
HORIBA Medical has introduced a new case study video series that can be accessed online at www.horiba.com/uk/medical/TV. This new collection of in-depth customer interviews provides direct personal feedback on their needs and experiences when working with HORIBA Medical for a variety of differing analyser installations. The first two videos in the series detail the expert delivery of a multi-vendor haematology specific Managed Service Contract (MSC), as well as a highly efficient multi-site pathology laboratory installation.
The first video in the series explains how a 15 year multi-vendor Managed Service Contract is benefitting University Hospital Cardiff. Here Andrew Crowder, Directorate Manager for Laboratory Medicine and Medical Genetics at the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, discusses how a specific haematology MSC with HORIBA Medical in partnership with Genmed.me Ltd has resulted in immediate benefits. These include the rapid installation of bespoke, best in class haematology analysers and other instrumentation with ongoing access to new technological developments. In addition to direct expert service and support, HORIBA Medical has also provided specialist expertise in LEAN laboratory working. The video also details how tangible cost savings of 17.5% have been made under VAT recoverability.
In the second customer interview video, Dr Fergus Macpherson, Pathology Director at Spire Healthcare, discusses how HORIBA Medical installed 17 ABX Pentra 80 haematology analysers across the private hospital group’s UK pathology network of 17 laboratories. With multiple locations to manage, HORIBA Medical successfully installed all the analysers and conducted training in less than 6 weeks. The video details how the laboratory staff throughout Spire are benefitting from the new analysers.
