These are the filter sets that utilise Alpha Technology for the emission filters. This results in much steeper edges than any other filter manufacturing method, while increasing attenuation and virtually eliminating auto-fluorescence. Excitation filters use a bandpass filter design as in Vivid Class and Vivid Standard sets. Dichroics are hard surface coated. Emission filters are ALPHA longpass designs. Vivid Plus sets provide the brightest images for most fluorescent dyes, with less colour definition than the ALPHA Vivid Sets.
