  • RoHS : Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances in electrical and electric equipment
    Directive based on EC95 prohibiting the use of six substances -- lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalant chromium, polybrominated biphenyl (PBB), and polybrominated diphenylether (PBDE), contained in electric equipment. Electric equipment parts require individual checking as these substances are often added to plastics to increase flame resistance.
