Flutolanil
Overview
Flutolanil is a benzanilide fungicide that has pest control effect for rice sheath blight disease. It is used for not only rice but also vegetables or fruits. This kit allows an easy, rapid (within 2 hours), sensitive, quantitative, multi-sample analysis of flutoranil that remains in farm products. This kit is best applied for inspection at delivery time/prior to processing inspection or primary screening in production sites.
Features
Comparison with instrumental analysis
While instrument analysis offers high accuracy, it requires complicated and time-consuming pretreatment techniques, and sophisticated instrument operation as well as large quantities of acetone, dichloromethane or hexane as organic solvents. The simpler pretreatment required for kit saves significant time. Additionally, only a small quantity of methanol is required as an extraction solvent for analyzing flutolanil.
Application examples
The figures show the comparison between standard curves with 10% methanol and reaction curved drawn with methanol extract of flutolanil-added farm products (diluted to 10% mthanol equivalent). The overlapping curves; demonstrate the suitability of this kit for analyzing trace flutolanil without any interference from the original produce.
