Nitenpyram
Overview
Nitenpyram is one of neonicotinoid insecticides. It is used for multiple farm products because of its high osmosis transitivity. This kit allows an easy, rapid (within 2 hours), sensitive, quantitative, multi-sample analysis of nitenpyram that remains in farm products or in the environment. This kit is best applied for inspection at delivery time/prior to processing or primary screening in production sites.
Features
Comparison with instrumental analysis
While instrumental analysis offers high accuracy, it requires complicated and time-consuming pretreatment techniques, and sophisticated instrument operation as well as large quantities of acetone, methanol or ammonia as organic solvents. This simpler pretreatment required for kit saves significant time. Additionally, only a small quantity of methanol is required as an extraction solvent for analyzing nitenpyram.
Application examples

The figures show the comparison between standard curves with 10% methanol and reaction curves drawn with methanol extract of nitenpyram-added farm products (diluted to 10% methanol equivalent). The overlapping curves; demonstrate the suitability of this kit for analyzing trace nitenpyram without any interference from the original produce.
