Overview
Very high torques are possible with these electrical machines which optimally cover the power ranges of medium-size and heavy-duty diesel engines used in the commercial-vehicle industry. During the development of the DYNAS3 HD series, special importance was attached to testing. All machine types with associated system components were tested under extreme conditions. The result is a very powerful and robust system.

HD-LC; Heavy Duty Liquid Cooled
The series DYNAS3 HD-LC consist of water cooled load machines. By water cooling these load machines have a very low noise level. A further advantage is a small cell heating by the direct heat dissipation over cooling water. The DYNAS3 HD-LC is ideally suitable for the use in test stand containers.
From the DYNAS3 HD point of view:
Available in 460 kW, 600 kW, 670 kW and 800 kW
High quality, robust AC dynamometer with long wearing insulated bearings for minimal maintenance
State-of-the-art drive system with worldwide support
In-line torque flange for accurate torque measurement
Robust dual-scan optical encoder for accurate speed control of heavy-duty engine
SPARC Test Stand Controller for closed loop control
Robust design allowing the connection of high overhung shaft loads, simplifying shaft selection
The HD 460 and HD 600 are available in liquid cooled version optionally
The HD 670 and the HD 800 are only available in liquid cooled version
