Webinar on Raman for oil shale analysis
HORIBA Scientific, in partnership with Spectroscopy magazine, will present a webinar entitled “Raman Spectroscopy of Oil Shale”. This webinar will cover the application of Raman spectroscopy for the characterization of oil shale, particularly black shale. It will illustrate that Raman spectroscopy is useful for characterizing the varieties of kerogen structure (chemical bonding and solid state), differentiating shales with different relative amounts of kerogen to inorganic mineral, and differentiating polymorphs of naturally occurring inorganic oxides, including shale, kerogen, oil, and calcite.
The webinar will be presented by David Tuschel (Manager of Raman Applications for HORIBA Scientific in the USA) at 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 4pm BST / 5pm CEST.
