Sales Engineer - northern region UK

HORIBA UK is expanding!!

We are looking for a Sales Engineer to support the Regional Sales Manager for the Northern region ( M62 corridor). On offer is a unique and exciting role within a specialist business, where you will build on your current technical knowledge and receive full product and sales training to enable you to identify areas for improvements and sell services and equipment based on this.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Identify/Develop relationships with target customers and key accounts.
  • Provide input to Marketing, Marcoms, Product Development and segment heads related to activities for HORIBA UK to achieve and accelerate profitable market growth
  • Work in conjunction with the Regional sales manager to build a credible and validated pipeline of new business opportunities aligned with HORIBA’s core technologies
  • Execute sales campaigns that align with HORIBA UK’s strategic drivers and global megatrends.
  • Identification and prioritisation of target customers, projects and applications in target markets
  • Work closely with Regional sales manager, UK Market Development and Product Specialists to execute sales campaigns
  • Maintain effective reporting of all accounts using CRM and Miller Heiman Blue sheet for Key Accounts

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Technical product sales experience (min 5 years) with awareness of all or some of the following: Optical Spectroscopy techniques, Scientific measurement and analytical instruments, Process measurement and control Instrumentation
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding

We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus an individual who can present to all levels internally and externally to customers.

You must also be prepared to travel extensively from the North of the M62 corridor, Scotland and Ireland.
