RDE TESTING IN OUR TEST CENTERS

Ensuring Legislation Compliance

The introduction of Real Driving Emissions (RDE) limits in 2017 added the roads as a new testing environment for emission development and testing, but the ability of emissions laboratories to reproduce the wide range of real-world conditions and driving behavior is limited.

Prior to the introduction of RDE legislation, we already offered PEMS (Portable Emission Measurement System) equipment with our OBS systems. Based on this expertise we developed the OBS-ONE, which is the centerpiece of our RDE test offering.

In our test centers the offered RDE test services include certification for type approval as well as In-Service Monitoring (ISM).

LABORATORY TESTING

For Europe the Worldwide Harmonized Light-duty Test Cycle (WLTC) is carried out in a laboratory before performing the road test. This ensures the accuracy of the PEMS by comparing its results with the ones measured in the lab.
Our test centers have all necessary equipment to meet these expectations, including a 4-wheel drive chassis dyno and state-of-the-art emissions measurement equipment.

ON-ROAD TESTING

With our experienced test team we offer an “All-in-One-Package”, which includes test preparations, the actual test as well as the subsequent evaluation. The on-road test is carried out on specific test routes in the area around Frankfurt (Main), Germany. The customer then receives a clear and complete RDE Summary Report, including all necessary criteria as well as an overview and validation of the results.
