Life Science Business Development Manager

The HORIBA Group, made up of 7,000 employees spread over 48 companies in 27 countries, is a leading company evolving in the markets of automotive testing, scientific instruments, process and environmental instruments, medical diagnostics and semiconductor instruments. The US Scientific branch of HORIBA, HORIBA Scientific, located in Piscataway NJ, is looking for a Life Science Business Development Manager. The enthusiastic and passionate candidate will be responsible to identify and develop business opportunities in the life science markets and will report directly to the VP of Sales and Business development.

HORIBA Scientific has a opening for a Life Science Business Development Manager in our new facility in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Duties:

  1. Understands high value life science market opportunities for HORIBA products and expertize. Identify new produce or derivative product opportunities and prepare marketing justifications for development of these products. Communicate these opportunities to HORIBA management,
  2. Communicate HORIBA capabilities to life science customers and support the sales and MARCOM teams to increase sales and market awareness of HORIBA.
  3. Interface with HORIBA applications across multiple product lines to develop and prove life sciences applications and standard operating procedures for HORIBA products.
  4. Manage multiple projects and key industrial and academic collaborators to develop new ideas, products a d solutions for the life science market.
  5. Attend and present key HORIBA advances, applications and solutions at scientific conferences

Requirements:

  • Minimum life science MSc, Ph.D preferred, with 5 years experience working closely within the life sciences and/or analytical instrumentation business development field.
  • Must be able to travel as needed, but no more than 50%
