Project Engineer / Manager

Our North American Process & Environmental group is searching for a Project Engineer/Manager to become a part of our team at our Pasadena, TX location.  The successful applicant will be responsible for projects involving CEMS, ambient and process monitoring systems, analyzers and related equipment.  Please keep reading the qualifications below and visit our corporate website www.horiba.com to learn more and apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the completion of major projects from inception through customer acceptance.  Develops Scope of Work (SOW) for project kick-off meetings.
  • Prepare project engineering designs, creating & processing equipment bill of materials.
  • Coordinate & maintain project scheduling with customers and internal personnel, customer factory acceptance testing (FAT) and coordinating, scheduling and deploying field service technicians to conduct on-site start-up & training at the customer’s facility. 
  • Supports business development including profit & loss (P&L).
     

Desired Qualifications:

  • Requires a thorough working knowledge of project engineering, project management and budgeting methodologies as typically acquired through a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.  Industry related work experience a plus. 
  • Requires sound problem-solving and analytical skills, effective interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills, attention to detail, strong organizational skills and proficient computer skills. 
  • Flexibility to work beyond a normal workday or workweek to meet project deadlines, if needed. 
  • Travel may be required as necessary.
