Internal Sales and Technical Support Engineer

We require an Internal sales Engineer for our Semiconductor department to: 

Supporting the sales of HORIBA’s line-up of analytical equipment, fluid control and 

measuring systems involved in the manufacturing processes of Semiconductors, Photovoltaic  

Cells, Fibre Optics, … throughout Europe, the Middle East and Russia. 


Main responsibilities and duties: 


  • Internal sales support - Working on quotations, ability to communicate effectively with customers 

  • Customer support - Supply general information such as brochures, manuals etc. Inform customers about order status / lead times.  

  • Technical support – Product troubleshooting abilities. 

  • Marketing support - Support the sales initiatives; assist with newsletters 

  • Logistical support - Answering questions from regional sales, distributors and end customers regarding lead times. Coordinating with principals to prioritise delivery dates. 

  • Data analysis - Generate reports 

  • Work with Excel and SAP 


Skills and Experience: 




  • A Levels / HNC in a science/technical discipline  

  • Strong communication and Interpersonal Skills 

  • Excellent organisational, planning and coordination skills  

  • Work on their own initiative and unsupervised 

  • Enthusiasm, drive and energy  

  • Excellent team player  

  • Good relationship skills 

  • Flexible and adaptable attitude to work 

  • Good command of English  

  • Willingness to travel throughout the territory 

  • Technical Aptitude, Forecasting, Negotiation Skills  

  • PC Skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc.  

  • Work with Excel and SAP 

  • Hands on 



  • Sales experience 

  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing process (front end)  

  • Multi lingual (preferred but not essential) - speaks English and preferably either German or French or Russian.
