Our North American Semiconductor group is searching for an experienced Chemist or Chemical Engineer, toconduct vaporization research and provide sales support, at our new R&D Technology Center in Reno, Nevada, minutes from the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. Key Responsibilities:

  • Define methods, sets up equipment, and conducts experiments of semiconductor process chemistry liquids/gases/vapors for thermo-physical and transport property determination, and reaction/disassociation kinetics/ chemistry. 
  • Provide technical support, technical sales demonstrations and QA of equipment to support the marketing of these experiments for customers and support of HORIBA products and services related to semiconductor fluid/chemistry delivery, or similar industries like fiber optics and thin film coatings.

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Requires knowledge of Handbook of Chemistry and Physics (or NIST chemical webbook), basic knowledge of various gas/liquid analytical methods (NIR, FTIR, GC/MS, RGA), analytical test method preparation, sampling and flow dilution/calibration techniques, lab equipment setup experience and PC literacy. 
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills; good verbal and written communication skills.
