HORIBA is seeking an entry level Buyer for our new facility in Piscataway, New Jersey.
Obtains quotations, negotiates prices, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities.
Initiates purchase orders and amendments for parts, supplies and services
Expedites and/or reschedules deliveries as needed based on changes in the demand plan or requirements of internal customers.
Resolves any receiving and or invoicing discrepancies on purchase orders issued
A minimum of three years’ experience working as a buyer in a manufacturing environment or is a recent graduate with a BA in Supply Chain management
Must exhibit Strong communication and organizational skills
Knowledge of SAP a plus
Must be proficient using excel and able to do pivot tables and other similar excel functions in order to efficiently analyze data
