IT Project Manager

HORIBA is a global group of companies that develops, manufactures and provides an extensive array of analytical and measurement equipment to countries around the world. HORIBA INSTRUMENTS INCORPORATED (HII) corporate offices are located in Irvine, CA.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage various IT projects and initiatives throughout the HII Group.   Requires knowledge of SAP and This position is accountable for managing SAP user access requests and enhancing functionality.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a thorough understanding of project management and usage of project management tools for management and reporting.  Must demonstrate ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, as well as interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • Create and publish reports/Dashboards on Salesforce and/or ServiceMax
  • Manage extension of Salesforce implementation to other affiliate companies
  • Maintain project documentation in accordance with best practice
  • Work under the guidance of HII to align solution components with end-to-end business process and other enterprise architecture.
  • Manage resource usage and allocation for projects.
  • Manage and conduct business requirement, gap analysis and function requirement workshops with key business users and stakeholders.
  • Ensure deliverables and project milestones are met.
  • Perform end-of-phase reviews
  • Maintain costs and risk documentation and report to HIC program office
  • Follow-up with stake holders, key users, core team and consulting team to meet project objectives and deliverables.
  • Manage and track project changes, and resolve issues that result from such changes.
  • Identify, analyze, respond and monitor project risks.



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information systems or business administration plus minimum five years related experience.
  • PMP certification desired
  • Ability to define systems strategy, develop system requirements and implement practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with business users and stakeholders to resolve problems.
  • Superior organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to communication ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of the company top to bottom, including most senior company management.
  • administrator/developer certification desired.
  • Service Max administrator/developer certification desired.
