The R&D Engineer conducts research and development activity by participating in the creation of new inventions in fluid delivery and control systems, creating detailed designs or simulations, building and implementing prototypes, conducting tests using various data acquisition methods, relying upon latest control system theory, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics principles.


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Conducts research by defining prototype test plans and collecting, processing, analyzing fluid dynamics, mass transport, and gas thermodynamics data.
  • Evaluates findings to develop new concepts, products, equipment, or processes, or to develop applications based on these new concepts.   
  • Prepares technical reports for use by engineering, management personnel, and sales engineering personnel for sales or technical services activities.
  • Manages schedules and inventory of experimental supplies such as gas, chemicals, chemistry analyzers, and various test equipment.
  • Develops test methods to acquire functional data on new designs.
  • Converts envisioned tests into hardware.  Includes: sketching tooling, instrumentation, and data acquisition methods.
  • Oversees the data collection, report generation and scheduling of semiconductor gases. Familiar with basic assembly procedures and the operation of various hand tools.
  • Oversee the scheduling and running of our Specialty equipment and lab environment.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or Mechatronics major or research focus), Chemical Engineering, or Physics
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a related discipline with fluid dynamics and thermodynamics knowledge or educational background.  
  • Strong analytical and mathematics knowledge/ experience required.   
  • Proficient with spreadsheet manipulation and the ability to convert raw data into refined data displayed in a graphical nature and then, analyze the vast amount of data for trends.
  • Experience with data manipulation and processing using high level scripting languages and/or programming languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of general safety processes and good housekeeping also a plus.
