Service and Sales Engineer

The segment HORIBA Scientific is specialised on production and development of different advanced analytical instruments based on optics and spectroscopic techniques such as Raman, Fluorescence, inorganic elemental Analyzers, GDOES, optical spectroscopy components and Particle Size Characterization technology. HORIBA Scientific has just celebrated the 200 years anniversary. You will find the customers in industry as well as in academia and different research centres worldwide in fundamental research, applied analysis and QC application. Main field of customer’s application is within advanced (nano-)material, surface science, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.

HORIBA Scientific Sweden is now looking for a team worker who can primarily take care of service and support of our new and old customers in the Nordic territory (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland). Great development opportunities will be offered to the right person. Training will be provided mainly at HORIBA France, at our Centre of Excellence, where we have R&D, production and a complete demo laboratory. It is important that the candidate has good social skills since the contact network will be extensive. This position will have a direct contact with our central service and support organisation in France.

Job description

  • Coordination of service and support
  • Customer support by phone/mail
  • Perform field service such as service PMs, installations, diagnostics, repairs etc.
  • Documentation of service visits via service reports and maintenance logs and reporting into CRM-system.
  • Spare parts handling, sales and ordering etc.
  • Preparation of quotations for service and/or spare parts
  • Participate in marketing activities such as Trade shows.
  • Support of commercial activities

 

Qualifications:

  • Academic degree with a focus on chemistry, physics, mechanics or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to perform systematic troubleshooting in complex systems.
  • Good knowledge of computer systems and operating systems (OS).
  • Very good knowledge of English language, Swedish preferred and French is a merit.
  • Valid Swedish / European driving license.
