We offer instruments from short focal length, high throughput spectrographs to long focal length, high resolution monochromators. HORIBA has a wide variety of choices for many different applications. Used in combination with HORIBA’s high quality detectors and optical accessories, we can configure custom spectroscopic solutions to meet any experimental requirements. 

Multichannel spectroscopy involves the detection of optical signals using an array of detectors to capture the entire desired spectrum at once or after a few scans of the grating.

When the grating is fixed, such a system is called a spectrograph. Spectrographs tend exhibit improved stability and reproducibility due to lack of moving components. As there is no exit slit, there is an increase in throughput, as well as a direct multiplex advantage, making experiments both more rapid and sensitive compared to conventional single-channel techniques. Since spectrographs collect entire spectra in one shot, it opens up possibilities for rapid data collection as well as kinetic data collection that are not achievable in any other manner.

Multi-channel spectrometers are used to monitor or measure multiple samples or sources simultaneously. Traditionally, these spectrometers were expensive and bulky instruments used only in demanding laboratorys. But the state-of-the-art optics and CCD cameras enabled us to bring to the market a compact and low-cost multichannel spectrometer that features high spectral resolution and high light throughput.
