The turbidimetric test involve an immunological measurements (Latex agglutination) using a specified amount of reagent containing latex particles covered by a known amount of antibodies added to the specified amount of plasma incubated for the specified time.
The agglutination between the investigated coagulation factor or product in the sample and the specific antibody starts by the addition of the reagent. The Yumizen G1500/G1550 instrument monitors the process of agglutination based on the change of transmitted light intensity at 570 nm (turbidimetric). At the end of the assay the change can be obtained in absorbance during the measurement using the optical curve (ΔOD/min). The intensity of turbidity change due to agglutination depends on the concentration, therefore, it requires calibration.
