Principal Engineer – Fuel Cells

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical and industry expertise to both HII and to our customers in the general area of fuel cells as applied to automotive applications.
  • Supports other functions in HII-ATS such as sales, marketing, engineering and proposal preparation with subject matter expertise at any point within the business cycle e.g. presentations to technical conferences; attendance at trade shows; authoring proposals or input into the execution of customer projects.
  • Establishes effective two-way communications with counterparts in other HORIBA group companies to share expertise and stay up to date with both technical and company developments.
  • Maintains current state of expertise by following industry trends, developments and regulations using approaches including (but not limited to), reading technical journals and papers, attending industry conferences, visiting commercial companies and universities engaged in relevant research.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or a related subject; or equivalent experience. An advanced technical degree and/or MBA would be an advantage.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the development or application of fuel cells, preferable in automotive applications
  • Ability to read & interpret electrical, mechanical and other engineering drawings as well as other technical information.
