MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and maintain a Territory Business Plan and Sales Strategy with the Sales Manager to deliver the Territory Sales Target 

  • Ensure all customer sites are visited routinely according to territory schedule and visit records are accurately updated using current processes 

  • Provide cover for sites outside of the designated Territory when required to support the needs of the business 

  • Actively prospect and record new opportunities for sales, including within the NHS, private Healthcare and selected Industrial sectors or future business areas as required 

  • Develop and maintain detailed product knowledge across targeted portfolio products 

  • Ensure all relevant competitor and pricing information is gathered and communicated to the Sales Manager in a timely and efficient manner. 

  • Arrange appointments with customer contacts via telephone & email and ensure all appointments are logged in the electronic calendar 

  • Ensure that a sufficient call rate is achieved to meet the territory needs as required by the Sales Manager. 

  • Develop strong working relationships with the Product Specialist/Management team to organise appropriate/timely product presentations & demonstrations as required. 

  • Attend & actively participate in company Sales & Marketing Meetings. 

  • Report on activities to line manager at Monthly territory meetings using current processes 

  • Liaise with the Product Specialists/Management and Engineering Services regarding sales support. 

  • Report and update Tender information and activities to the Sales Manager  

General 

  • Follow and maintain HUK’s Medical objectives and KPIs. 

  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for effective performance of the role. 

  • Attend or complete training courses as required. 

  • Proactively promote and follow HSE practices, manage risk and take appropriate action with regard to reporting and avoiding all incidents, near misses and hazards.  

  • To promote the vision and values of the HORIBA organisation 

  • To take part in continuous improvement initiatives and projects including those associated with “BlackJack” 

  • Flexible to carry out any other tasks in accordance with departmental and organisational needs.  

  • Appropriate national/international travel.  The above is not an exhaustive list, and you will be expected to perform duties in order to facilitate the department and organisation in achieving its’ objectives. 

  • Experience using Software packages (Word, Excel, Lotus notes, Internet, Powerpoint)                  ?

You will be highly motivated as you will be out in the field facing customers( or over video!) You need to be extremely resilient and organised.
