Revolutionary Two-In-One Fluorescence and Absorbance Spectrometer Earns Silver Honors

PISCATAWAY, NJ May 15th, 2018HORIBA Scientific, global leader in fluorescence instrumentation and solutions, is proud to announce that its new Duetta two-in-one fluorescence and absorbance spectrometer earned silver in the Laser Focus World 2018 Innovators Awards Program.

Duetta was recognized by a panel of senior expert professionals who judged the annual Laser Focus World Innovators Awards program.

The Duetta™ was recognized as a revolutionary new fluorescence/UV-Vis spectrometer that eliminates the need for multiple scanning instruments. In addition to traditional fluorescence and absorbance spectroscopy modalities, the new system features Absorbance-Transmittance Fluorescence Excitation Emission Matrices (A-TEEM) providing better molecular fingerprinting and extended dynamic range due to automatic inner filter effect corrections.

"We are honored to have received the Laser Focus World Innovation Award for our new Duetta fluorescence and absorbance spectrometer,” stated Cary Davies, Global Product Line Manager, Fluorescence Division at HORIBA Scientific. “This unique spectrometer is being recognized worldwide for its capabilities, including an ultrafast CCD, a standard fluorescence emission wavelength range of 250 to 1100 nm, and its new EzSpec software interface with touchscreen utility, simplified use and a selection of Apps for routine analysis."

Alan Bergstein, Publisher of Laser Focus World (LaserFocusWorld Silver Innovators Awards), said, "This prestigious program allows Laser Focus World to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products and services in the photonics and optoelectronics industry. Our 2018 Honorees are an outstanding example of companies who are making an impact."

The Innovators Awards are judged based on the following criteria:

Innovation
Value to the User
