HORIBA India and Vice-Chancellor, RTM Nagpur University light the lamp on the 1st year anniversary of HORIBA India Nagpur Facility

HORIBA India celebrated the first anniversary of its Nagpur facility on 20 September 2022. Spread across an area of 12 acres and strategically positioned in Nagpur, Maharashtra, the centermost location of India, this facility comprises of manufacturing and refurbishment of HORIBA Medical diagnostics product range, an International Training Center (ITC), HORIBA Experience Zone (HEZ) and HORIBA India Technical Institute (HITI).

A lamp lighting ceremony was organized to commemorate this day. Dr. Subhash Chaudhari, Vice Chancellor, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) who was the Chief Guest on this occasion lit the ceremonial lamp along with Dr. Rajeev Gautam, Corporate Officer, HORIBA, Ltd., Japan and President, HORIBA India.

Close to 50 patrons of HORIBA India along with Dr. Raju Hiwase, Registrar, RTMNU and Dr. Promod Khedekar, Head-Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, RTMNU graced the occasion with their presence. 

Dr. Rajeev Gautam, Corporate Officer, HORIBA, Ltd., Japan and President, HORIBA India informed us that the admissions are open for the Post Graduate Diploma in Clinical Lab Sciences (PGDCLS) and Advanced Diploma in Clinical Lab Sciences (ADCLS) offered at HORIBA India Technical Institute (HITI). Seats are limited and filling up fast. Biological science graduates and post-graduates can apply for PGDCLS, while those holding a diploma in pharmacy or lab tech can apply for ADCLS courses. The courses are designed keeping in mind modern, AI-supportive laboratories, with inputs from reputed industry leaders and taught by the best experts in the field. 

 

Dr. Chaudhari said the PGDCLS and ADCLS courses offered by HITI are affiliated to and approved by the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension, RTMNU. These courses prepare students for careers in modern clinical laboratories and in In-Vitro Medical Diagnostics (IVD) industry.

 

Dr. Rajeev Gautam added there are 13,000+ users of HORIBA Medical analyzers, which improves job opportunities for HITI students.  After completing the course, students with a flair for sales or scientific applications support may be considered for employment by the company or its channel partners.
