GENERAL SUMMARY:

The service supervisor is a technical and hands-on person with supervisory experience. The Service Supervisor is responsible for testing, installing, repairing instruments, managing the product specialists and growing service revenues for the Custom Spectroscopy Solutions (OSD) division and based in Piscataway, NJ

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Support technically Product Specialists and Field Service Engineers (FSEs) as needed
  • Back up Product Specialists and FSEs as needed [customer support, installation, testing….]
  • Primary contact for internal and external escalation management process.
  • Work with Service Manager and Product Line Managers (PLMs) to implement continuous Product training for Product Specialists, FSEs and Affiliates.
  • Initiate and actively participate in the content creation of service technical notes and service manuals.
  • Create and implement post-sales campaigns to increase revenues [upgrades, contracts, paid services, etc.]
  • Responsible for monitoring and delivering on agreed upon KPIs for  post-sale product support team and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain CRM platform (ServiceMax) and create Dashboards with appropriate KPIs
  • Support Sales, Production, R&D and Quality functions as needed

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in physical or biological sciences
  • Experience with optical spectroscopies such as Raman and Photoluminescence is a plus
  • Experience with optical microscopes is a plus
  • Experience with instrument control software such as LabVIEW is a plus
  • Familiarity with general electronics is a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce / ServiceMax or other CRM platform is a plus
