VETS-7000 NT
Overview
VETS 7000NT is ideally suited for laboratories requiring a flexible, economical system for certification and routine R&D testing.
- Communicates with, and coordinates, test-cell equipment for running standard and customized tests.
- Manages data collection, display, and test-result reporting.
- Assists with calibration and quality-control checks.
- Includes flexible editors for user-defined displays, reports, test schedules, and pretest questions.
VETS 7000NT is designed to interface with the MEXA and CVS 7000/9000 systems. Offered in English, French, or German, the software is easy to use with logically organized screens, pull-down menus, buttons, and scrolling lists. Users have flexibility in reporting test results using SQL and Excel®. Multiple cells can be networked via LAN for comprehensive data management.

- Graphical test editor to create or edit test descriptions, drive traces, and shift files.
Multiple languages - English, German, French.
Emissions Testing Functions
Emissions tests consist of four parts: Pretest/initialization, driver's cycle, analysis, and post-test/reporting.
Pretest/Initialization
VETS 7000NT collects information from the operator, reads and displays the Weather Station values, and initializes the CVS, MEXA and CRSD 7000.
Driver´s Cycle
Standard test schedules delivered with the system include:
- EPA 74
- EPA 75
- EPA 75, Phase 1 and 2
- EPA 75, Phase 1
- EPA Highway Fuel Economy
- ECE 15.04
- ECE 15.05 High Speed
- Japan 10.15 Mode
- Japan 11 Mode
- User-defined tests
Other schedules available upon request.
VETS 7000NT controls the test sequence, collects data, and provides a real-time graphic-numeric display. CRSD 7000 displays the drive trace, shift points, and driver messages. All data is logged and stored as raw values in real-time. Variable delay times can be applied after test completion.
Pre-defined test sequences control test operation. The user selects or defines files to control sample delays, timed events, shift-point table, ambient limits and fuel type.
Analysis
For gasoline and diesel-fueled vehicles, depending on test-cell equipment
- Bag
- Modal mass Pre-catalyst, intermediate, tailpipe, dilute
- Catalyst efficiency
- Dual-catalyst efficiency
- EGR
- Particulates
- General-purpose analog signals
Bag-read function depends on bench and CVS types. Sequence includes:
- Select analyzer
- Sniff in auto-range mode
- Select range
- Zero/Span/Zero
- Read sample bag
- Read ambient bag
- Zero/Span drift check (if applicable)
- Display results
- Auto measurement of bag-reading stability
- Flow alarm on bag read
- All data stored and time stamped
- Post-test/Reporting
End of test includes setting equipment to Standby and final messages/instructions to the operator.
Reports are in user-definable Microsoft Excel templates. Test request can specify automatic reports. User can manually run additional reports on any data in the database.
