Solid Particle Counting System MEXA-2100SPCS
Overview
The HORIBA MEXA-2100SPCS measures the number of solid particles directly from engine exhaust gas according to the requirements of
the GRPE PMP (Particulate Measurement Program) using
the Condensation Particle Counting(CPC) method.
The system can be used for engine research / development, for exhaust particulate filter performance testing and can also be used for certification with a regulation compliant dilution system (Direct sampling or CVS) when the pre-diluter is detached.
The compact main unit combines high performance and flexible packaging to adapt to the various test configurations and environments.
1.The compact main unit
- Easy to install and transport in a laboratory
- Small footprint
2.High accuracy sampling system
The dilution factor within the SPCS is directly monitored and controlled by measurement of the diluted exhaust flow (by means of a Flow Orifice) and of the HEPA filtered dilution air, using an accurate Mass Flow Controller. As a result, the set DF is not affected by changes in sample pressure in the CVS or sampling system. Consequently the SPCS calibration factor (PCRF) can be used for many applications without specific calibration/correction of the diluters.
MEXA-2100SPCS Optional Modules
The combination of the main unit and optional modules allows a wide range of applications and sampling configurations to be supplied.
