21786 - Technician (up to 3 months)

We are currently recruiting a Technician in the component test lab at Quatro Park. 

The role will involve:

 

• Test rig prototype build - including metal working and machining
• Able to make modifications to existing rigs/fixtures and structures
• Build to drawing or build to part

Experience

Essential

• 5 years experience in a mechanical build / machining environment

 

Preferred 

• Experience in a variety of multi-skilled roles

 

Skills

• Ability to read mechanical drawings
• Experienced in operating manual lathes, mills, power saws, pillar drills and other metalworking equipment
• Fitting skills and experience to enable creation of test fixtures fitted to parts where no drawings are available 
• Able to modify existing structures based on emerging requirements

Qualifications

Essential

• 5 years proven experience in a test / manufacturing or related engineering environment

Preferred

• Mech Eng BTEC ONC/HNC / apprenticeship or equivalent 

Other information

• up to 3 months contract (work dependent)
• 39 hours (Mon - Thurs 07:45 - 16:15 and Fri 07:45 - 15:15) - 30 min lunch break
• Inside IR35
