Sales Manager, Environmentally Regulated Markets

We are expanding the Business Development team to include a Sales Manager, Environmentally regulated markets with the focus on Air and Gas, also water.


Operating nationally across the whole of the UK & Ireland you will target local authorities, OEM’s, system integrators, end users, academic and research establishments using your previous experience in consultative sales.




  • Demonstrate superior knowledge of current and future regulation within environmental markets that require both Gas & Water measurement & analysis solutions to comply.
  • Increase and maintain market share within selected environmentally regulated markets by positioning HORIBA to offer solutions from across its wider portfolio.
  • Manage and grow HORIBA’s revenue across Government, Local Authorities (LA’s), and Industrial Process & Environmental markets. This will be both direct and through the wider team of Regional Sales Managers, Product Management, and other Sector Managers.
  • Take ownership for managing and growing HORIBA market share within the UK’s local Government, Industrial Process & Environmental markets and aligned markets detailed in HUK’s market descriptions/customer groups.
  • Identify, develop and manage the relationship with target customers and key accounts working closely with the wider team of Regional Sales Manager and other Sector Managers.
  • Provide input to internal stakeholders related to activities for HORIBA UK to achieve and accelerate profitable market growth
  • Maintain your regulatory knowledge in key markets by educating the wider team of the opportunities that exist through regulation, and in addition to develop specific sales and marketing campaigns with support from the Marcomms department to drive lead generation for the Regional Sales Managers.



Skills and Knowledge:


  • Technical product sales experience or awareness of Air Pollution monitoring within Local Authorities, Industrial Continuous Emissions Monitoring (CEMs), Siloxane , Air/Water Quality instrumentation, Microplastics, Scientific measurement and analytical instruments and Process measurement and control Instrumentation
  • Key account management experience with an emphasis of selling into Local Authorities and industrial application areas where Air and Water quality are regulated.
  • Trained in consultative solution sales
  • Used to developing and executing strategic and tactical sales growth plans
  • Demonstrable experience of managing long sales cycle opportunities 12-24months
  • Experience of growing and effectively managing large high value accounts
