Video Producer

Summary

The video producer will carry out the development and production of engaging, effective video content from start to finish: planning the initial concept of a video, lighting, sound, camera work, editing, and graphics. Projects may include company branding, event promo videos, product videos, training videos, and recording events such as trade shows or seminars. The incumbent will be proactive, resourceful, and able to handle multiple tasks and priorities with strong attention to detail. 

Essential duties:

  • Creative concept development, subject research, and scripting of video projects.
  • Light and shoot quality video content and record clean audio.
  • Interview and direct video subjects and talent from behind the camera.
  • Research and edit stock music tracks.
  • Create motion graphics and other visual elements for videos.
  • Edit footage and produce final videos and deliverables.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technological advances in the space, attending classes whenever possible to hone skills.
  • Work with various departments to support company marketing initiatives through video creation.
  • Set production schedules.
  • Maintain and operate video equipment.
  • Ensure videos are branded appropriately.
  • Maintain video library

 

Qualification requirements:

  • Solid storytelling and conceptual skills.
  • Strong lighting and cinematography skills.
  • Excellent video editing skills utilizing programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Final Cut Pro and Camtasia
  • Experience with green screens.
  • Familiarize with variety of production equipment, including professional video camcorders, lighting and audio recorders.
  • Basic familiarity of live streaming or web casting.
  • Must have strong time management and problem-solving skills and flexibility.
  • Ability to fulfill several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Highly self-motivated and have the ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.

 

Education:

  • BA/BS in film / video production

 

Communication/Interface:

Interfaces with product managers, division managers and other HORIBA departments in order to acquire information and to resolve issues.
