Oberursel, March 11th, 2025 - HORIBA Europe GmbH, a leading provider of test and measurement solutions for various industries (hereinafter referred to as “HORIBA”), announces the new generation of its particulate filter management system, the PFS-ONE Generation 3. Stricter legal regulations on emissions not only lead to stricter requirements, but also to adapted production and research processes, thus increasing the pressure in terms of efficiency. Solutions must therefore not only be highly precise, but also as time-saving as possible in terms of measurement cycles and maintenance efforts.
With the new PFS-ONE Generation 3, HORIBA offers a process-oriented and automated weighing solution that is UN GTR No. 24 and DIN EN 12341:2023-10 compliant and suitable for use in the mobility industry as well as for environmental measurements. The system enables gravimetric measurements of particle mass weight in the PM2.5 to PM10 range and is suitable for filter sizes with a diameter of 25 mm, 37 mm and 47 mm. It provides sophisticated documentation of filter life cycles and progresses, time checks and limit violations and thus offers state-of-the-art application possibilities. Additionally, it has an extensive filter shelf and thus offers extended storage space for analysis material. The solution is designed to save space on-site, has a separate climate chamber and offers the option of integrating existing customer hardware thus offering a high level of flexibility for its users. The weighing process is fully automated and therefore particularly time-efficient and accurate thanks to the integrated DENSO COBOTTA (six axes) robot. In addition, the inspection process can be monitored at any time and the collected data can be stored externally, allowing large amounts of data to be collected for reliable analysis.
“With the new generation of the PFS-ONE, we offer our customers a state-of-the-art solution for measuring particle mass weight. In particular, the high degree of automation thanks to the use of the new robot offers significant savings in terms of the time required for analysis. The extended storage space allows test cycles to be designed even more efficiently due to the reduction of manual efforts. The numerous additional documentation functions also help our customers to monitor and optimize their test cycles more precisely. In addition, the small footprint enables flexible use on site,” says Riza Birol Product Manager PFS-ONE & Project Management TAS (NH).
The new PFS-ONE Generation 3 will be available Q4 2025.
