Air Quality Monitor AP-380 Series achieves certification from Leading International Organizations, including the U.S. EPA and the German Federal Environment Agency jointly with TÜV Rheinland

HORIBA Group’s Air Quality Monitor AP-380 Series has received type approvals from certification bodies including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA), the German Federal Environment Agency (UBA) jointly with TÜV Rheinland Energy GmbH*1 (TÜV), CSA Group Testing UK Ltd*2(CSA Group) on behalf of the UK Environment Agency (EA), South Korea’s National Institute of Environmental Research (NIER), and the State Administration for Market Regulation of the People’s Republic of China (SAMR). These approvals enable the analyzers to be sold to national and local governments, and other organizations, primarily focused on Europe, Americas, the Middle East, East Asia, and Southeast Asia. 
The AP-380 Series is now being expanded at an accelerated pace to further contribute to enhancing the air quality monitoring processes required by national and local governments and private companies in the course of assessing and addressing air pollution.

AP-380 Series

Air Quality Monitor AP-380 Series continuously measures the concentration of carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, ozone, nitrogen oxides, and hydrocarbon gases at high precision ranging from ppb*3 to ppm*4.
In addition to ambient air monitoring, the series addresses a diverse range of other measurement needs, such as detecting molecular contaminants in environments where semiconductors, sensors, and other electronic parts are manufactured, as well as monitoring for impurities during industrial gas production processes.
Each gas component analyzer is designed to be modular to enable integration into systems and facilities in line with customer requirements. The analyzers are also equipped with user-friendly software and all functions can be operated remotely from a variety of devices, thereby enhancing work efficiency.

Modular Design Overview


The modular design is a method of designing products by functional units, enabling easy replacement and customization. By adopting a modular design for each gas component analyzer, the AP-380 Series can be integrated into various systems and facilities to customize for stationary, wall-mounted, mobile or portable installations.

With over 60 years of experience in manufacturing and selling air pollution monitoring equipment, HORIBA has consistently met the global demand for air quality monitoring. 
Receiving certification from the U.S. EPA, UBA and TÜV, and other international organization represents a major milestone for the AP-380 Series, launched in January 2024. 
European certification*5 tests conducted by TÜV confirmed that the AP-380 Series, in line with HORIBA’s tradition of excellence, demonstrated a high level of stability. Notably, the APNA-380 delivered a significant performance improvement compared to the previous APNA-370 model*6.
