This issue features "Analysis and Measurement Technologies Contributing to Next-Generation Healthcare". In the post–COVID-19 era, the importance of developing technologies has been increasing—not only for safety assessment of genetically modified cells and analysis of immune functions, but also for diagnostic techniques that are user-friendly, rapid, and highly accurate, as well as for ensuring the quality of biopharmaceuticals. In this issue, we present an overview of the Masao Horiba Awards focusing on “analytical and measurement technologies that contribute to next-generation medicine", together with HORIBA’s technologies and initiatives that support medical diagnosis and research.
