Polychromatophilic erythroblast
- Size : 10 - 15 µm
- Normal values : Absent in the blood
- Description / Pathology :
Intermediate size of 10 to 15 µm cell, round nucleus, grayish condensed cytoplasm.
Hemoglobin production becomes evident from the muddy mix of the blue staining RNA and the red staining hemoglobin resulting in the greyish cytoplasm of the polychromatophilic normoblast. The chromatin is moderately condensed.
