Large size cell, curved nucleus, dense chromatin, clear cytoplasm but covered by eosinophilic granules (orange, thick and with the shape of a bead bag).
Primitive Hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES): quantity increased with atypia (hypogranulation, fine granules, often associated with recurrent molecular abnormality, the most common is FIP1L1-PDGFRa.) Other eosinophilia: allergic, parasitic infection.
Eosinophilia associated with hematological malignancies: T-cell lymphoma, Hodgkin disease, chronic myeloid leukemia.
