  • Description / Pathology :

    Medium size cells, intensely basophilic cytoplasm, non-constant presence of lipid vacuoles, round nucleus with clumped chromatin and basophilic nucleoli.

    Leukemia / Burkitt Lymphoma.  Diagnosis is often done from a drain of a rapidly growing tumor mass or effusion. Sometimes bone marrow and peripheral blood (Burkitt leukemia).
