Raman spectroscopy is getting close to its centennial birthday. As such it can be described as a mature technique. Not only that, it has been described as the “Swiss army knife in the pocket of the spectroscopist.” Raman microscopy, also known as micro‐Raman, is in fact, able to combine high‐resolution imaging and full chemical characterization. In this webcast, Iddo Pinkas will be describing several recent projects that I have worked on in the not distant past in his lab serving the community of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. These projects focus specifically on the use of micro‐Raman spectroscopy, and span the fields of

  • Biomineralization
  • Organic Chemistry
  • Material Science
  • Environmental Science
  • Forensic Science
  • Archeology
