HORIBA has been developed analytical instruments and applications for investigating a battery internal conditions and reactions with material level by using spectroscopic technology such as Raman spectroscopy, Glow discharge emission spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and fluorescence spectroscopy. These instruments and technologies are widely used in R&D and quality control fields. In the near future, stricter quality control should be required for manufacturing batteries with stable supply and low cost to do both performance and safety at the same time, then analytical technologies should become more important. In this paper, I will introduce HORIBA spectroscopic analytical technologies and applications for battery manufacturing process.
